Questions about Sewer Lines
If you think you have issues with your sewer line pipes, there are some questions you can answer that’ll help determine if you have a potential issue.
Do you know what your pipes are made out of?
Older pipes were generally made out of clay, steel or tile. These materials are known to heavily deteriorate over time. If your home was built before the 1980s, there’s a good chance that your pipes were made out of clay and are in need of repairs.
Are there large trees near your sewer lines?
Often invasive tree roots can grow along the service lines, seeking out the water and nutrients within the pipe. If they begin to grow through the pipe, they can cause blockages that may lead to repairs or replacement.
